| The Cottage Rose began in 1993 as a Home Party Business for stay at home moms joining together to sell our handmade products. Each mom had a unique specialty- from handpainted designs on slate and wood, to handquilted quilts & Pillows, dried flower wreaths to unique artistic jewelry. We enjoyed the commaradorie and the sharing of ideas to grow our business. It was a very beneficial and enjoyable experience!

| The Cottage Rose continued through the years and found different avenues to sell handmade products- fund raising for local churches and schools to large craft shows.
In 1995 we disbanded and the group expanded their own businesses to join with fellow artisans/crafters to open a handcrafted gift shoppe in a beautiful old restored home in New Oxford, Pa. to showcase over 75 crafters. The Cottage Rose now as sole owner also joined in with a Westminster shoppe which opened its doors in 1998.

In 2002, The Cottage Rose began selling in the Gettysburg Prime Outlets stores joining rhe Craftsworks Network. In 2003, the Cape Cod Crafters based in New England opened its doors and new directions in crafting have led to making the "finest quality" long lasting, hightly scented candles in the market today. Only Premium waxes are used- Soy, Soy Blends, & Natural Palm, and the highest quality fragrance oils! In June of 2004, The Cottage Rose joined the Riverhead, New York Cape Cod Crafter store. In the future, more stores along the East Coast will feature, The Cottage Rose- Candles & Gifts! In 2006, The Cottage Rose started wholesaling under a private label to specialty stores in Maryland.
The Cottage Rose continues to research/test products to give you the highest quality products to scent your home & car, and outstanding customer service.
The Cottage Rose was named in honor of my loving Mother Ruth. When I started my business, I wanted to dedicate it to her as she was my first teacher/mentor/supporter in crafting. Her favorite flower was the Rose and since the business was started at home as a cottage industry- hence The Cottage Rose!
